My Trees

By tagging a tree to steward you are committing to work to keep the tree bed free of refuse and to weed, aerate the soil, and compost or mulch at least once per year. Additionally, you are committing to do your best to water the tree during dry spells between May and October. See tips on how to water.

The District 33 Street Tree Stewardship Map will help us grow volunteer engagement at a neighborhood level and track our progress. However, it is still important to contribute information to the New York City Tree Map dataset for the NYC Parks Department to analyze and for public awareness. Some people may be aware of the NYC Parks Department map, but not of the District 33 map.
